Did OPEC Just Spoof The Shorts?

September 28, 2016

On Wednesday, OPEC and the Russians shocked the oil market with news of a production freeze/cut they intend to impose in November. In my latest article for Seeking Alpha, I look at this deal and wonder if it is for real or if it is just another case of jawboning, perhaps a page from the U.S. Fed, to move the price higher until the November biannual meeting of the cartel.

Natural Gas And The Trickling Bull

September 12, 2016

The price of natural gas fell at the beginning of last week as the rally dissipated along with Hurricane Hermine. Energy: I Feel The Earth Move

September 12, 2016

On September 6, the biggest earthquake in Oklahoma history hit the state and the tremors were felt as far as seven states away. In my latest article for Seeking Alpha, I explain why energy policy is not so simple these days and why the U.S. may be facing a choice between OPEC and Mother Nature when it comes to energy supplies unless technology comes to the rescue.
