Grain markets have been in a bear market since the drought of 2012 and since 2014 a stronger dollar has added fuel to the bearish fire. In my latest work for QT Ag Online, I look at the dollar which is off its highs. Farmers who are used to praying for the weather are likely praying for a lower dollar to stimulate exports, clean out inventories and set them up for prosperity in the years to come. After three straight years of low prices they certainly need a boost from wherever they can get it.
