The DBA, an agricultural ETF product had been under performing grain markets. As of April 15, this ETF was marginally lower in 2016 while the agricultural commodities it purports to replicate were up around 2.5% as a composite. In my latest work for QT Ag Online I suggest that you look under the hood in terms of these ETF products and if you wish to invest in agricultural you might do better going to closer to the source, to the futures markets.
