The EIA reported last week that natural gas inventories fell by the largest amount this year as of January 22. A huge snowstorm on January 23 promises that next week’s report will reveal even a larger withdrawal from stockpiles. In my latest article for Seeking Alpha I explain why although natural gas could move higher and test recent highs at the $2.50 per mmbtu level, one technical metric is telling us that chances are that any rally will fail.
