The Avian Flu and its potential effect on the price of hogs

In 2014 the PED virus killed over 7 million suckling pigs. This caused beef and pork prices to rise. In 2015 the avian flu caused problems with the poultry population causing the price of another white meat, pork, to rise. In my latest article for About.com I look at how problems in one animal protein market caused price adjustments in another.
