A processing spread is the price differential between two commodities where one is the product of the other.  In this new article, Crude Oil- Processing Spreads written for, I discuss how Crude oil is refined into products that we use every day.  Turning crude oil into oil products is done by cracking the oil at a refinery.  Monitoring crack spreads is a valuable tool in understanding energy markets.
